Types of Camps/Workshops
Jump Start Speech Camp – Learn about each and every Speech event in particular leagues. Use this time to explore and brainstorm about the possibilities for the up coming Speech Season. This is an excellent camp to do in the summer or as a kick off for you club. Classical Conversation families love learning about the different types of speeches before they head into the Challenge years.
Who:
Beginning and Advanced Students. It is strongly recommended for new students to go through the Jump Start Camp. Parents are welcome. Advanced or experienced students still get value out of coming. There is always value in attending a camp! Each camp is unique and interactive, break outs include group leaders. This is typically a one day camp and students do not walk away with a speech. It’s more of an overview of what speech is, how it is fun, and the possibilities!
What:

- Think about choosing a piece for your personality and purpose.
- Learn aspects of communication!
- Engaging, fun activities to put what we’ve discussed into action!
Interp Workshop- Dig deeper into the Interpretive Speeches. We’ll be covering the basics of interpretation- cutting, characters, and creativity! This can be done as a one or two day camp, or as a combination with the Jump Start Camp.

Advanced Workshop
There is a balance when it comes to working with beginners and experienced students. This workshop goes right into the “meat and potatoes” of Speech.
