LD Masterclass

Do you want to take your debate skills to the next level? Have you ever watched a strong LD round and wondered what was happening beneath the surface?

This one-day online LD Master Class is designed for experienced debaters who want to take the next step in their LD debate skills and understand the deeper logic of how rounds are won.

Students will learn:

• how judges evaluate rounds
• why some arguments matter more than others
• how framing the round and weighing arguments shapes the ballot
• the difference between offense and defense
• how to recognize the deeper structure and theory operating within a debate round
• How to incorporate narrative building in the round

This workshop helps students understand why debate works the way it does. When debaters understand the underlying logic of a round, they become more strategic and more confident communicators.

Recommended for LD students with at least 3 years of competitive debate experience.
