Description:
We’re happy to announce two summer camps again this year! Lasting Impact! is partnering with Blackstone Moot Court again to bring you the highest quality Moot Court instruction.
Whether you just competed at Moot Court Nationals or you have no idea what “petitioner and respondent” are, the camp will have plenty for you. We’ve split the camp into two tracks, beginner and advanced. The advanced instruction will teach students how to write elite-level cases, respond more directly to judge questions, and win close rounds. The beginner instruction will teach students how to master the style and demeanor, how to write compelling cases, and how to crack open the new packet.
The camps will also feature lectures on the case this year, giving you a head start into this year’s exciting new packet!
Why trust us? For one, we’ve got a lot of experience. We’ve coached over 240 Moot Court coaching sessions in the last two years, not to mention the dozens of students we’ve had at previous camps. And 12 of the 18 teams at this last National Championship attended Lasting Impact!/Blackstone camps.
Secondly, campers have high praise for the camp. Even though it’s online, campers last year consistently expressed feeling entertained and engaged.
“Camp was super informative but was also really fun, which I wasn’t expecting! I feel excited to use the skills I learned at camp.” – Caroline G.
“The camp has a really great balance of being goofy and fun while also covering useful material. Definitely something to take both as a beginner and as a more experienced student.” – Gabe Z.
“Blackstone and Lasting Impact! put together a killer Moot Court camp. No other organization or camp I have seen to date combines excellence in Moot with such a fun, relaxed atmosphere that is a joy to experience. Add in the fantastic celebrity coaches and guest judges and this camp is worth every bit of the time, money, and effort.” – Xander Y.
“I really liked that the teachers kept it fun. It wasn’t always just “here is this fact. write it down. Here’s another…” there were often funny stories or past experiences that the teachers told in order to keep the class interesting while also keeping that class on point.” – Kemuel M.
“I honestly thought this was one of the best speech and debate related camps I’ve attended.” – Cooper C.
