Description: Are you interested in learning more about Team Policy debate? Have you ever wondered what the foundations of TP are, and how we got them? Do you want to take your debating skills to the next level? Whether you’re new to debate and never competed in a round or you’ve already participated in team policy debate this workshop has something to offer you! Over two days, Logan Hickman, Anna Macklem, and Zac Doby will be covering the foundational principles of team policy and exploring their theoretical derivations, covering all of the basics as well as exploring the most effective ways to apply the principles in a round, affirmative and negative strategies, cross examination, and have opportunities to apply what you learned.

Instructor Bios:
Logan Hickman is an NCFCA alumnus who competed for 3 years, qualifying to the regional championship in Team Policy debate every year and placing 3rd regionally during the 2020-2021 competitive season, as well as qualifying to nationals in speech during that same year.

Anna Macklem is about to enter her fourth year of NCFCA, competing in Team Policy every year. She qualified to the regional championship in TP every year she’s been in the league, and has also qualified in speech. Combined with her previous partner Logan Hickman, she has broken at every regional tournament she has attended over the last two years.

Zac Doby is going into his seventh and final year of NCFCA. He’s qualified to the national championship in Team Policy and several speech events. Zac won every regional tournament last season, including the regional championship.
